Many teachers come early, but they do so to prepare their work for the day. Teachers let children into classrooms about 8.30 am so they can get organised for the day’s work ahead. Any students arriving at school before this time must wait outside the library where they will be supervised.
Children should not arrive at school before 8.30 am. Adequate supervision cannot be provided before this time.
Absences
If your child has any absences from school please assist by emailing the class teacher through Connect, phoning the school office or sending a note with your child to explain any absences. This is a requirement from the Department of Education.
If arriving late to school, please collect a blue pass from the school office which is to be taken to your child’s teacher.
In addition, where children are absent for part of the day (e.g. sickness, appointment), a form from the school office needs to be completed by a parent/carer or authorised person and taken to the class teacher.
