It has been a whirlwind of a term; however, I hope this term has gone well for you and your family and that you have both a restful and exciting school holidays.
If you are new to the school, I’d like to take this opportunity to share that my role as School Chaplain is to provide social and emotional support whenever it is required. I work with students, teachers and parents to assist in meeting the needs that appear in their daily lives. This is demonstrated by being available at all times to listen when a child or adult need to talk, providing pastoral care (encouragement and support) and running life skill programs. I also visit classrooms, help on class excursions, at school events and run lunch time programs in the school’s Library.
Mrs Fazz and I facilitate a lunch time program that runs on Wednesdays and Fridays and all students are welcome in the school Library. This term, we have had students show their creativity with LEGO creations of all shapes and sizes and colouring in or drawing. This has been a great opportunity to get to sit down, meet and get to know some of the students and I am looking forward to next term already.
Anyone can access this service, so please don’t hesitate to contact Mrs Perry on 9352 2750 if you and/or your family need my support during a particular life experience. I work every Wednesday and Friday.
